SAAFE Behavioral Services, LLC is seeking a Full-Time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to become a part of our fast growing team! This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient practice of therapists and Psychiatrists serving clients ages 5 through senior adults. Providers deliver assessments, and ongoing medication management, in an interdisciplinary team, alongside other providers and mental health counselors to ensure the best patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate:

  • Will specialize in child, adolescent and/or adult psychiatry
  • Will have a strong commitment to working in a private practice and collaborating with therapists
  • Will be committed to providing consultation
  • Will offer a flexible schedule
  • Will be motivated to assist in the development of client base
  • Might be Bilingual
  • Work Schedule is Mon.- Thurs. 7:30am-6pm. No weekends; No on-call! This outpatient facility has locations in the beautiful family friendly and up and coming historic city of Sanford, FL and Deland, FL. Beaches are within an hours drive and multiple airports accessible within a 30-60min drive!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be fully licensed in the State of Florida
  • Must have a minimum of 2 year experience in Psychiatry outpatient or inpatient
  • Medicare and Medicaid numbers a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) a plus
  • Experience with CHILDREN and ADOLESCENTS is a MUST!
EDUCATION
  • MD/DO (Preferred)
  • ABPN Certified - Child and Adolescent 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluation, history and examination of patients from 5 years of age to patients up to 80 years old
  • Ability to see more than 21 patients a day (New & Follow-up patients)
  • Collaborates and consults with other professionals and refers when necessary
  • Medication Management follow ups
  • Able to document clear and concise evaluations using our EHR system
  • Monday -Thursday 7:30am -6:00pm
  • No on-call
  • Evaluation and Treatment of Patients with mental illness
  • Understanding of the DSM 5 criteria for diagnosing
  • Must be able to treat children and adolescents
