Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This position requires strong organizational skills and familiarity with medical terminology. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient intake processes, welcoming new clients, ensuring accurate documentation is gathered, and providing exceptional service while helping individuals access the mental health services they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for new clients.
  • Conduct initial intake screenings and collect demographic, insurance, and clinical information.
  • Schedule appointments and provide clients with clear instructions on next steps.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and facility guidelines.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and administrative staff to ensure smooth client transitions into patient appointments.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with a diverse client population, including Spanish-speaking individuals and families.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with empathy and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients.
  • Experience in mental health or healthcare settings is a plus, but not requiredwe provide comprehensive training.

Position Details:

Hours / Full-time

Compensation / $15 - $17 per hour, commensurate with experience/education
